I Now Return To My Originally Scheduled Program
So, NaNoWriMo officially ends tomorrow, and for once I completed something with time to spare.
Despite both my girls getting horribly (and disgustingly) ill over the last few days, while working and homeschooling and holiday shopping and making sure my house isn’t buried under a mountain of dirty laundry and dishes I managed to hit the 50k word goal. My novel isn’t finished…I have a bit more to go, but I think I will manage to fill in the holes I left as I edit in December. Then comes the next big challenge – seeking out a literary agent and shopping my book around.
I have toyed with the idea of submitting to an e-pub…but have decided I will hold off just a bit and see what comes of the traditional method first. All of this is new to me and I look forward (and kind of dread) the whole process. I know I have a long road ahead, but I’m further down the path than I have ever been before – and it’s all due to NaNoWriMo.
So stay tuned as I start to bring back Monday Muse posts, more reviews of DisneyWorld, Homeschool ideas, and general cool stuff including a post of meeting my idol, The Pioneer Woman herself!
And yes, very soon now I will update that header.

Hi Melonie!
Hooray for finishing NaNoWriMo!! Sorry to hear you had such an insane November!

Jenn D.´s last blog ..IF: Unbalanced
Of the 167k people who signed up for NaNo only 98k actually started writing. Of those 98k who started writing only 32k actually hit 50k. Of those 32k a lot cheated. But you didn’t and that’s why you’re a rock star.
Allison´s last blog ..Welcome to December
@ Jenn D: thanks girl! I am so happy I made it, now I gotta keep the momentum going
@ Allison: you were an awesome NaNo buddy! And YOU rocked it so much harder than me!
Melonie, this kind of posts keep me going, so if one day your ‘momentum’ is stuck somewhere, simple: come here and read your own post
Congratulations for your achievement! Hope I can say the same in New Year’s Day (though I’m not doing any NaNo thing and don’t even know what that is – I’m writing and 50.000 words in a month sounds nice! lol)
Vanessa.
Note to self: humanize´s last blog ..6. Today I’m sad
@ Vanessa: Howdy! Thanks for visiting, I see from your site you “know” Allison and Tami too – good luck on the writing, every 5 minutes you can take to add to that word count helps!
YOU DID IT, YOU DID IT!!! I am sooooooo very impressed. And even more so after reading how few people actually do manage to reach their goal. Holy moly, girl. Keep up that momentum. I want to see you at the bookstore, in bright lights, as big as Diana Gabaldon. You are a NaNoWriMo Goddess!
